Because we live in such a wonderful area, there are other organizations and groups that hold fund-raising events in which the proceeds go toward the Festival of Hope. The generosity of these organizations and groups goes beyond the money given. It is also the time, effort and creativity that is amazing and appreciated. The Festival of Hope has benefited from people of all ages, from first graders to adults.

This group of motorcycle enthusiasts sponsor an annual motorcycle poker run as well as a monthly burrito night which are both open to the public.
Burrito Nights are usually held on the second Monday of every month at the Alliance Eagle Club (W. 3rd Street Alliance, NE) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The cost is six dollars.
The Annual

Young Survivors CoalitionThe Young Survivors Coalition held their first
Hounds for Hope Dog Walk on Saturday September 12, 2009 and many enjoyed the wonderful morning. Future events will be posted at a later date. Details for the 2009 event were as follows: The Dog Walk is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and will be held at the Monument Valley Pathways. The walk will start at the Dog Park. (Behind Riverside Zoo-1600 S Beltline Hwy W, Scottsbluff, NE) Registration fee is $15.00 and will include a treat bag and bandanna for each dog. Booths, hot dogs and educational information will be available for dog owners.

Regional West Medical Center Cancer Treatment CenterThe RWMC Cancer Treatment Center hosts
Surviving Beautifully Fashion Show and Tea. The 2011 event was themed "Hats off to You" and details were as follows: held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Hampton Inn (301 W Hwy 26 Scottsbluff, NE) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admittance was ten dollars at the door or tickets or by calling Karen at 308-630-8006. The event included the fashion show, silent auction, raffle, entertainment and refreshments. Also, included in the event was special speaker, Kay Anderson, a breast cancer survivor from Greeley CO, who took a new look at bald when she lost her hair!

Brown Angus Ranch
An
Annual Summer Ride is hosted by family members of the Brown Angus Ranch. The June ride starts with a trail ride winding through the scenic Wild Cat Hills lasting four to five hours. After the ride, guests can enjoy fun filled activities put on by the Brown family. Around 6 p.m. the pot luck dinner starts with a beef or pork entree, with entertainment to follow. Even if you do not have a horse, all are welcome to come and enjoy hayrides, the scenic view, the pot luck dinner and entertainment.
